Tucker Creek’s AlpacaLease Program Is the cost of buying alpacas the reason you have not taken the next step.. So how do you work that element into your business plan? AlpacaLease may be the answer. Our exclusive AlpacaLease allows you to select the bred female or herdsire of your choice for a specific lease term. You may choose to renew the lease for another season; select a different line for the next year or be done. At the end of the term the female is returned to our farm and you keep the cria; or if you leased a herdsire, the cria resulting from the breedings on your farm are yours as are the breeding fees from any outside breedings which may have been serviced while he was on your farm. No long term loan commitments. No monthly payments. You only pay 15% of the alpaca’s selling price as the lease payment; pay the cost of insurance at 3.5% based on the selling price of the alpaca and you are done with the financial burden of acquiring or expanding your herd. All husbandry and veterinary responsiblities are yours. At the end of the lease term you have a cria and you have a choice on what to do for next year--renew, return or exchange .
